In most heating processes, real-time visual and thermal detection of anomalies is required, such as monitoring the operation of machinery in a production system or cleaning performance. However, these processes often cause damage to the camera due to overheating. In general, the retracting system is used as a mechanism to protect the optical lens component of a camera system from exposure to high temperatures, which could cause damage to the component in the event of Loss of air or water cooling. Without a functioning automatic retraction system, the lens element of these retractable cameras will fail immediately upon loss of cooling. CANTY High-temperature cameras differ from conventional cameras because the optical lens element is designed to withstand high temperatures of up to 1,370 °C without the need for an air cooling system. The super temperature camera has an air cooling system. That airflow can help keep the lens clean. If the process is clean enough, this system will stop. Similar to the Extreme Temperature Camera, designed to accommodate high temperatures up to 1,370 °C. If the cleaning/cooling air fails, there is no immediate failure of any component. If the process is operating close to the upper limit of the camera specification of 1650C, the user will have sufficient time (~2 hours) to turn on the air supply and run again or remove the camera system from the process as per manual way.

CANTY has designed a ready-to-use air preparation system for use with the CANTY High Temperature Camera. The system includes a series of filters and dryers to easily convert plant air into clean dry air in the instrument. The system is conveniently mounted on an aluminum plate to allow for easy installation. The air preparation system produces clean air for both the camera housing and the nozzle.
